What Playboy Bunnies Look Like 50 Years Later

Playboy was the magazine residing in your parents’ underwear drawer or fashioned in plastic bags in the back of closet waiting to be discovered by your adolescent self.  Instead of turning away, you eagerly tore through the plastic and pushed aside those drawals to embark on the road of sexual-discovery.  Now, photographer Robyn Twomey, captured the bunnies who stole your fantasies — 50 years later.

Areola and navel exposures are eradicated from Twomey’s portraits to illustrate the 60-70 year old women settling into their new age sexy.  The OG bunnies create their own characters departing from pre-developed set deigns known in Playboy’s glossy vintage pages.  Appearing in deep reflection, they hold on to their timeless images while embracing the beauty that is fleeting before us.
