Denmark is in a bit of a pickle. The country’s birth rate is at the lowest it’s been in nearly three decades at 1.7 “births per woman“.
To tackle the country’s dilemma, travel agency Spies Travel created a call directed at their youth. The ad is similar to their 2014 plea but instead of urging its citizens to “Do it for Denmark,” the patriotic slogan gets swapped with a more personal “Do it for Mom.”
The clips sends Danes on a comedic guilt trip, kicking it off with a lonely mom desperately waiting for her adult children to pop out babies. The two-minute video then offers a solution: send your kids on a tropical vacation to increase the chances of holiday-time baby-making.
“Delivery within nine months not guaranteed,” the ad kindly reminds.
