A 9-year-old walked into a police station in Barnesville, Minnesota this past weekend and informed officers that her parents were running a pot operation. Her reason for turning her folks in? She hoped the friendly neighborhood cops would clean up their home’s funky pot smell that was making her feel ill, according to the Star Tribune.
“She was a very brave, very smart, very articulate little girl,” officer Ryan Beattie told the paper. “It was almost like interviewing an adult. She appeared to have intelligence far above a normal little girl … [and] she gave some pretty specific information about things, like types of drug paraphernalia, that no young person ought to have knowledge about.”
Upon searching the young girl’s home, police found seven marijuana plants growing under the house, drug paraphernalia and other suspicious substances. The girl’s parents, whom she reported to both sell and smoke the pot, have charges pending a lab analysis of the plants. She is currently staying with her grandparents.
Well, that solves her odor problem.
