Reviews of 50 Shades of Grey released a never-ending reel of thought pieces. Whatever you may think of the novel or its film counterpart, the penthouse of the stoic character Christian Grey has quickly become one of the most memorable scenes in the movie. (Enjoy.)
50 Shades tells the love story of Mr. Grey, debonair rich guy with a thing for stalking virgins, and inner goddess Anastasia Steele. Their sexual narrative largely takes place at Mr. Grey’s abode — an enormous, lavish Seattle penthouse. Naturally, set designers paid a meticulous eye to this character’s sanctuary and wanted it to reflect his extraordinary, controlled lifestyle.
